This effect has been used by the composer Kurtag in the past. The player is instructed to attach the leads to each of the terminals and then touch the leads together. This will produce an impressive display of sparks and the accompanied sound is that of an electrical cracking. A full range of protective equipment & clothing must be used from heavy shoes, through to cricketers box, through to welders mask and gloves. Great care must be taken not to hold the leads together as they will eventually fuse together and drain the battery.
