Bass Bell Plates for Hire

These bell plates are the only set of bass bell plates in the world. Developed in the 1980's by John Donaldson, the set of thirteen chromatic plates range from C1 to C2 and each is hired complete with an individual frame and a selection of beaters. The bass bell plates have proven to be very popular with contemporary classical music and film compositions. All three films in the Lord of the Rings trilogy used the plates to great effect in the soundtrack recordings. Their unique and unmistakable timbre can clearly be heard cutting through the orchestration.
